Healing Sound Workshop

Healing Sound Series with Jessica Cross - February 3, 2019!

Jessica is returning for another great workshop!

Give yourself the gift of Sound Therapy at this workshop in the New Year on Sunday, February 3, 2019, from 10:30am - 11:45am. Join us for this group “sound bath” led by Jessica Cross, Sound Therapist and RYT.

A sound bath is an immersive listening experience where participants relax comfortably in a restorative pose, while singing bowls, chimes and gongs are played. The experience can facilitate deep relaxation, mental clarity and a meditative state among participants.

At the January 13 workshop, experience the sounds of the hand-hammered Tibetan bowls, chimes and gongs in this 75 minute practice. We'll begin with a brief introduction to the bowls and Sound Therapy before setting up comfortably for the sound bath followed by a relaxing Savasana.

At the February 3 workshop, immerse yourself in the sounds of the crystal singing bowls in the second 75 minute practice of our series. Jessica will tell us more about the benefits of the crystal bowls and Sound Therapy before we relax for the sound bath and finally, Savasana.

About Jessica

Jessica Cross is a certified Sound Therapist and yoga teacher serving the Austin metro area. She uses sound to relieve stress and promote deep relaxation for her students and clients.

She first experienced the healing tones of a singing bowl while in Savasana and knew sound would be an important part of her personal journey. She later began incorporating sound in her yoga classes and became a certified sound therapist to share the ancient practice with others.  When Jessica is not sounding the bowls, she is an event planner and enjoys reading, cooking and relaxing with her husband and dog-child (a.k.a. the yoga mat stealer).
